報告人簡介:賀勁松現為寧波大學教授。先後在澳大利亞、印度、巴西、意大利和英國等國家的世界著名學府進行過學術訪問。在孤子方程的Darboux變換、怪波等方面有系統的工作。
Absract:We consider a two-level atomic system interacting with an electromagnetic field controlled in amplitude andfrequency by a high intensity laser. We show that the amplitude of the induced electric field admits an envelopeprofile corresponding to a breather soliton. We demonstrate that this soliton can propagate with any frequencyshift with respect to that of the control laser, except a critical frequency, at which the system undergoes a structuraldiscontinuity that transforms the breather in a rogue wave. A mechanism of generation of rogue waves by meansof an intense laser field is thus revealed. In this talk, we shall also provide similar work on an optical system governed by the NLS equation.
